Index changelog

Every change to the Global Notice Period Index, in order. Each entry is generated from the dataset itself at build time rather than typed by hand — the count and the list of jurisdictions below cannot drift from the registry that also drives the coverage table, because they are read from it.

This page records changes to the research dataset as a whole, not the law of any one country. Country-specific claims live on that country’s own page.

General information only. Employment rules depend on your contract and location.

About this page

How an entry gets added.

A new entry is added only when something in the dataset actually changes: a jurisdiction moves status, a source is re-read and re-dated, or the methodology itself changes. A scheduled six-month review that confirms the existing rows is not, by itself, a reason for a new entry — this page describes what changed, not that a check happened.

One entry below, because this is genuinely the first version of the dataset since its initial publication — not because later changes were left off.

  1. Version 1.0

Initial publication. 4 jurisdictions verified: United Kingdom, Singapore, Germany, France.

Jurisdictions verified at this version: United Kingdom, Singapore, Germany, France

See the Global Notice Period Index for the current state of every jurisdiction with a record, and the methodology for how a change gets made.
